Archives of Contemporary Music

Some information about the composers born after 1946 are collected in these pages. The birth date of the composers collected in the Archives has been chosen referring to the beginning of the Venice Biennial, which is an event of particular importance for what concerns the Italian artistic production, as appeal to a creation of works which is able to sum up the postwar spirit of renewal. The aim of the Archives is directed to spread the rich contemporary cultural patrimony of the Trentino-Alto Adige Region and of the neighbouring areas. By now all the material concerning the Province of Trento has been collected and some activities are searching for the material concerning the authors of Alto Adige and of the towns, which border with Trentino (Verona, Brescia, ecc.). Each composer has his/her own space with reference to his/her own works and further information (Programme, Interviews, Essays, ecc.) in order to give a more comprehensive vision of his/her activity. All the composers have been identified according to their belonging geographical areas- Town, Region- in order not to lose a more complete vision and to contextualize the musical production and the cultural activities. More detailed information regarding the Archives are available on the navigation menu. The materials collected in the Archives can be consulted only by appointment.
